Kathryn Baker: chef, aspiring author, copy editor, proofreader, blogger, food & beer pairing junkie, manager, culinary mentor, Certified Cicerone®, and Beer Judge, with a thirst for beer & food education. View my resume, here.

Having spent more than thirty years in various kitchens from New York to Boston, food and culinary chaos is in my genes. In my most recent endeavor, I opened a 200+ seat Beer Hall in the middle of the pandemic, helped build a state of the art draft system, and trained a young, talented, yet extremely part-time staff how to sauté, braise, sear, and about mise en place and food safety protocol.

I love culinary learning, which comes from great teachers. I love pairing dinners, having executed well over 200 in my career, and the thrill of matching beer (and wine) with food.

I am a writer. I fancy the thought of being a published author. I blog about food, beer, and life experiences. I am an aspiring copy editor and proofreader.

I am a Certified Fora Travel Advisor and help book trips short and long to places I know well and love, especially those that have a wonderful beer & food culture. If you are in need of a travel hand, I can handle hotel bookings, airfare, and help piece together a perfect itinerary local or far away. I have extensive travel experience in the North Country, ADK, and Lower Hudson Valley of NY, the New England states of MA & VT, Belgium, Germany, France, Austria, Czech Republic, and Brazil. I am currently working to earn my Disney ‘ears’, as I certify in this extensive travel genre.

I’d love to be part of your success and fun.
